OVC Basic Needs Support
Food assistance, clothing, dignity kits, hygiene supplies, and essential resources that make safe living spaces possible.
Empower Your Own supports organizations caring for orphans and vulnerable children - meeting immediate needs so children can be seen, valued, and celebrated.

At Empower Your Own, we believe every child deserves access to food, basic necessities, and the opportunity to live with dignity. We're a community-based organization in Laikipia, Kenya, partnering with schools, children's homes, and community groups.
“To ensure that orphans and vulnerable children have access to food, basic necessities, and the dignity every child deserves.”
From food support and dignity kits to school-based initiatives and Soul Food Sessions, we deliver practical, community-driven programs that provide relief, restore hope, and create safe spaces where children can thrive.
We design and deliver programs that improve school systems, strengthen children's homes, and ensure every child grows up with dignity, consistent support, and joy.

Our monthly flagship: a shared meal, a birthday cake, music, and moments where children feel seen, valued, and celebrated.

Routine check-ups, deworming programs, basic treatment, and referrals - so children can grow, learn, and thrive.

In institutions stretched to cover the basics, joy often gets left behind. Soul Food Sessions brings it back - a monthly celebration of love, consistency, and care. This isn't just food; it's how we feed resilience.
